Art is a conversation with the Superior. Life is to be lived accordingly to this conversation.
My works for the exhibition Speak Up St Louis manifest the battle inside us, which is the most important one to be won
for our personal and for the social benefit. They are inspired by my admiration to the medieval Bulgarian Icons,
Expressionism, Minimalism and also my experience as a new Saint Louis American with Bulgarian background.
I use acrylic paint in the three primary colors – Blue, Yellow, Magenta as well as the neutral Black, White and Grey. The
square format of the canvases is chosen to suggest balance and enforce the viewer’s meditation. The three paintings
form a series of developing metamorphosis with the idea of catharsis.
For me viewer’s freedom for interpretation gives birth to the artwork each time and I respect my public as my co-worker
in the pleasant, but highly demanding creation.
